The municipal woodland cemetery lies east of central Senden near Aufheim. South of the grounds are the Waldfriedhof bus stop, the 40-space Waldfriedhof car park and a smaller parking area mapped with 9 spaces. A third free parking area is recorded to the north.
The cemetery regulations do not give fixed visitor hours: the grounds are open during daylight hours every day. Before travelling, check directions and parking, the interactive map and the shorter service hours of the cemetery administration.
What makes this cemetery distinctive
The municipal overview published in June 2026 lists 15 grave types at Waldfriedhof Senden. Alongside individual, children’s and family graves, these include a Muslim burial field, two sizes of urn earth grave, natural urn graves, an anonymous urn field, indoor and outdoor columbaria, urn stelae and shared or partner tree-and-meadow graves.
Private care and free choice of location are not available for every grave type. The grave types page distinguishes conventional graves from municipal-care options and explains the main restrictions.
